Singapore dominated the Partner hiring in the region in August with hires across Disputes, Energy and Corporate from both UK, US and notably PRC firms. 

Shanghai-headquartered Fangda Partners has launched an office in Singapore with the addition of M&A partner Ivy Liu from Watson Farley & Williams. Fangda’s Singapore office is its first branch outside Greater China and its seventh overall, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Han Kun previously established ints Singapore presence in June last year and has now expanded with the hire of partner Leong Chuo Ming and a team in Singapore. Leong leads the team comprising a counsel, a senior associate and an associate. He was a partner at Withers KhattarWong, the Singapore practice of UK firm Withers.
